The Salem City recycling containers are located next to the Salem Fire Department, located on South Ellsworth Avenue and entered from Filbert Street.

The service is free for Salem residents.

The recycling center includes:

  • six paper containers
  • seven co-mingled containers for cans, glass and plastic
  • nine cardboard containers

Cardboard boxes should be broken down and trash is not permitted. The recycling center is under video surveillance.

Carroll-Columbiana-Harrison Solid Waste District provides the recycling containers.

Live tree recycling is available at Waterworth Memorial Park during specific dates during the holiday season.
